Renee Espeland joined the Des Moines Catholic in the fall of 2008 after many, many years as a social justice activist. Renee has served as director of Iowa Peace Network and on the boards of numerous peace and justice organizations. She has participated in direct actions for peace and justice in several regions of the U.S. And is a dedicated scholar of justice and scriptural texts. A frequent columnist for via pacis, Renee is also the mother of four.
